Call for Directors
We are looking for submissions for our summer 2028 production, to be performed outdoors at Buckden Towers, Cambridgeshire.
For the 2028 production, the SatT Trustees are particularly eager to see submissions for the following plays:
- The Tempest
- The Taming of the Shrew
- As You Like It
- Macbeth
- Merry Wives of Windsor
- Othello
- Henry V
- King Lear
Directors are asked to submit an outline of the Shakespeare play they would like to put on, together with details of:
- Their vision for the piece and why they have chosen that play
- Where their version is set and what themes it addresses
- Any specific set/costume requirements
- Casting profiles
- Previous experience and directing style
The 2028 production is currently scheduled to be performed from Tuesday 27 June – Saturday 8 July, with auditions in November 2027 and rehearsals starting in March / April 2028.

The closing date for submissions is 31st July this year (2025) and the successful production will be announced at our AGM in October.
